1. Progress status

The ACE MFI 4-minute and ACE SWE 64-sec Level 2 solar wind data have been added. Code for downloading and parsing data have been added. The ACE MFI dataset covers the period 1997-09-02 to 2009-09-26 and contains 1 586 700 records. The ACE SWE extends over 1998-02-04 to 2009-08-30 with 5 705 111 records.

The "-zmode 2" option was added to the CDFExport command in generic.php. This will remove the dimensions of rVariables having a NOVARY variance.

A check for dimension variance have been added in odi.library.php. This is useful when multidimensional rVariables holding scalar data is imported. This check may be redundant with "-zmode 2" option above.

Ingestion of the Meteosat LR data; DH attached the skeleton and set files. The Meteosat anomaly data are in as well. Both are visible in SEDAT too.

Final (?!) cleanup of the IDL tools for SEDAT and the stand-alone read_odi.pro. DH added a subdirectory IDL under tools in the repository to hold this file. DH updated everything on spitfire, and checked that SEDAT is still working properly.

DH put together a cronjob file with all the live datasets we have so far. DH tested all the download scripts again, to have an idea how long they take to update datasets. At the same time, he also corrected the LF problems, so they work fine now on Linux. DH also re-ran populate on a number of datasets, everything works fine. The server should be very busy from now on!

DH has been in communication with Michael Liu of the cdf team on the distribution of the cdf toolkit for mingw and gfortran. He has prepared a new package.
